At Plantaform, we’re committed to revolutionizing indoor gardening with sustainable, user-friendly solutions. We’re excited to announce our partnership with Gatineau’s Centre de Travail Laro, a local social enterprise, that has boosted our assembly output of Plantaform Smart Indoor Gardens by 400% within a matter of weeks.
What Laro Does For Us
We give the Laro team our parts, plastics, the electronics and PCB or ‘brain’ of the Plantaform device, and they handle all the assembly of these pieces and perform an initial assembly quality check. Then the Laro team hands the devices back our engineers who run it through a full test suite and final packaging.
What This Means for You
With Laro’s team, we can meet our growing demand, ensuring faster delivery of our NASA-inspired fogponic systems, which empower you to effortlessly grow pesticide-free herbs, vegetables, and leafy greens year-round. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business looking to contribute to sustainable food solutions, or a proud kiddo buying a thoughtful gift for your mom this holiday season, this milestone brings more opportunities for more consumers to enjoy fresh produce from the comfort of their own home.
A Partnership Built on Shared Values
Founded in 1979, Laro is dedicated to creating meaningful employment for individuals with functional limitations, providing adapted and rewarding jobs in the Outaouais region. By partnering with Laro, we are supporting their mission while scaling our own production to better serve our customers. Laro’s focus on quality and community impact aligns perfectly with our vision for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
What’s Next?
In addition to assembling our Smart Indoor Gardens, Laro will soon handle the seeding and packaging of our plant pod packs, further integrating their services into Plantaform’s production supply chain. This deepens our collaboration and ensures that we can continue to meet growing demand while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Celebrating Innovation
To mark this milestone, we’re thrilled to be attending Laro’s 45th anniversary celebration and open house on October 25, 2024. There customers and media will have the opportunity to see our Plantaform Smart Indoor Gardens being assembled, meet the Plantaform and Laro teams, and witness firsthand how local innovation is driving the future of sustainable gardening.
