PRUNING
GUIDE
Watch VideoRemove small or dead leaves that are overshadowed and not receiving light.
Make sure to leave younger smaller leaves that are still growing on the center. Follow specific guidelines for each herb:
CILANTRO
When your cilantro is at about 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) tall, go down to the base of the older outside leafs and cut at the stem towards the edges.
SWEET BASIL
When you see about 4 pairs of leaves on the central chute, snip it right above the second set of leaves. This promotes branching. Repeat the same cuts once these new chutes are grown above 20 cm (8 inches) tall.
PARSLEY
Similar to cilantro, prune when 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) tall. Go down to the base of the older outside leafs and cut at the stem towards the edges.
OREGANO
When about 10 cm (4 inches) tall, find the nodes with the clusters of small leaves emerging and cut right above to promote new stem growth.
THAI BASIL
When you see about 4 pairs of leaves on the central chute, ship it right above the second set of leaves. This promotes branching. Repeat the same cuts once these new chutes are grown above 20 cm (8 inches) tall.
Regular pruning is essential. Clip stems to prevent overcrowding and ensure even light distribution. After pruning, your Rejuvenate should be more open to allow even light distribution.
