About
Plantaform's Pod Packs consist of 15 seeded plant pods. Each plant pod consists of a pod frame with contained rockwool and seeds. The rockwool is the growing medium used and is a mineral fiber made from rock, which has excellent properties in holding both air and water for the seeds to grow.
Plantaform has worked to find the best seed options available for use in the Rejuvenate system using novel Fogponics technology. Unfortunately that means that some of the seeds that are used are not MOFGA-Certified organic seeds, as they have been naturally bred for use in soil-less agriculture.
All of the seeds have not been genetically modified (they are non-GMO) and have not been exposed to any chemical pesticides. Many of the seeds Plantaform offers are MOFGA-Certified organic, including all of the herb essentials seeds and some of the lettuce and mustard seeds.
Plantaform offers a 100% germination guarantee. This means that Plantaform will guarantee that all of your pods will have at least germinate once.
Plantaform has performed extensive research to ensure that there are enough seeds in each pod to ensure the germination of each pod is at least 99.5%. However, there is always a small chance that some pods will not germinate, as some seeds simply do not germinate even under ideal conditions and some batches of seeds might have lower germination rates than others.
If any of the pods do not germinate, Take a picture of the pods that have not germinated and email this including the current duration of growth period to info@plantaform.com, to receive another pod pack free of charge.
How fast the plants grow largely depend on the type of plant or Pod Pack that you are growing.
Lettuces in general take 28-40 days to reach their full harvest size.
Herbs in general take 6-8 weeks until they are ready for their first harvest. The good thing about herbs is that once they reach the size to harvest, they can be continuously clipped every few weeks.
Flowers are much trickier as they have extremely variable growth rates and time to flower, along with other factors like whether they are long day or short day plants, if they are perennials, annuals, or biannuals, if they bloom all at one time or over a longer period of time and more. I general, the flowers will take 30-45 days to bloom.
Since the growth rates and times to harvest are so variable, please refer to the pod pack information on the specific box you are growing to learn more about their growth rates, their growth stages and durations, as well as the time they take to harvest and whether or not they are a single harvest or can be continually harvested.
To view a full schedule of each Pod Packs growing cycle please visit the "Pod Pack Timelines" subheading in Pod Packs.

The pods are meant to be used for a complete growth cycle. Some of the Pod Packs can be harvested continuously for months, like the herb essentials pack especially. The rockwool cannot be used after harvest, as the stem and roots of the plants have grown through the rockwool.
Additionally, the rockwool will potentially become infected with bacteria or other pathogens that can harm your plants if reused. It is advised to buy another set of pods 1-2 weeks before you harvest your current crop cycle.
The pod frame is made of recyclable plastic and the Pod Pack box is recyclable as well. The rockwool is technically not compostable because it is made of rock, but due to its excellent ability to hold moisture, some of the rockwool can be broken into small pieces and sprinkled into your garden soil to improve the water retention.
Once the pods are harvested, you can cut the stems and roots of the pods, then push the rockwool out and either put it in the garbage or spread it in your garden, and finally recycle the pod frame. Be sure to keep the humidity domes and the pod covers as those are reusable.
